During an Assassin’s Creed panel at PAX with the game’s director Ashraf Ismail, as well as Brand Historian and Maxime Durand from the development team, a bunch of new details and information on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins was released, and there’s a lot of interesting stuff here for you if you’re looking forward to finally playing the game.
Elements of story was discussed during the panel, such as the fact that by the time Bayek meets with Cleopetra, she will already have been exiled by advisors of Ptolmey, and that the latter is being manipulated by The Order of the Ancients, who seek to have control over all of Egypt. Important historical events will also be included in the game’s story, such as the Siege of Alexandria. Hippodromes will also be present in the game as missions and quests, it has been confirmed.
Alexandria, of course, will be included in the game as well, including the Great Library of Alexandria as well. Ubisoft also revealed during the conference that they collaborated with NASA, to receive satellite images that would help them make the game’s world. It was also confirmed that the game would have several references and callbacks and connections with previous games in the series, so from a story perspective, it really looks like the game is going to be the next big step forward for the series.
Assassin’s Creed Origins launches in late October for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
