Assassin’s Creed Origins is Free to Play This Weekend

Play the open world RPG from June 19th to 21st on Uplay.

In the mood for a big game this weekend and can’t afford The Last of Us Part 2? You’re in luck because Assassin’s Creed Origins is free to play on PC. The free weekend runs from June 19th to 21st but you’ll need Uplay to experience it. Check out the trailer below for a quick refresher on what the game offers.

Set in ancient Egypt, Assassin’s Creed Origins centers on Bayek of Siwa, a Medjay who essentially serves as law enforcement. When his son is killed by a mysterious group, Bayek sets out across Egypt for vengeance. His travels will take him across the massive world and even includes an encounter with Cleopatra.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is the game that signaled a significant shift in the series’ formula. Stealth is still important but there’s a much heavier action RPG bent, especially with all the loot that can be collected. You can check out our review of the game here for more information. The game is currently available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
