Update: Assassin’s Creed Origins Trailer Leaks, Confirms Ancient Egypt Setting

UPDATE: Fake

UPDATE: It turns out, the video in question was made by an interactive and motion designer, so… yup, this was fake. I suppose the wait till E3 is still on.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The law of the universe is, if Ubisoft is doing something, it will leak. This has been true for years, and it is especially true of Assassin’s Creed, which has seen every single major game for the last few installments get leaked before an official announcement. That has remained true of the mysterious upcoming game, slated to be set in ancient Egypt, and acting as a soft reboot structurally for the series, as well.

And now, we have a trailer leaked for the game. It’s off screen, and really pretty bad quality, but it definitely confirms an Ancient Egypt setting (1354 B.C. to be specific), as well as the Assassin’s Creed Origins moniker. You can check it out for yourself below- at least before Ubisoft orders a takedown, at any rate.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is apparently due out in October for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We presume it will be announced at E3 this year. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.
