Ubisoft recently announced the previous gen iteration of Assassin’s Creed: Rogue, developed by Ubisoft Sofia in collaboration with several other studios, and it involves playing as an Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Patrick Cormac. Some new details emerged via Game Informer which did a cover story for this and Assassin’s Creed: Unity, which include the fact that the game won’t have a multiplayer mode.
The game sees you sailing around, hunting Assassins, in the Morrigan. This ship is smaller than Black Flag’s Jackdaw since you’ll be moving through rivers and the like. You’ll be boarded by enemy ships, which involves defending your crew, but before all the Assassin-hunting antics, the first few missions of the game will see you playing as one for a brief period.
Ubisoft also said there was an overt link between Unity and Rogue which will happen at the final moment in the game. It also declined to comment whether there would be a PC or Wii U version. Assassin’s Creed: Rogue releases for PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 11th.
