As we get closer to the release of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, we’re getting more information about the changes that have been made to the series in order to better fit the fact that you have two playable characters as well as Victorian London. The game’s senior producer François Pelland recently sat down for an interview and talked about some of the most interesting aspects that are allowing the game to stand out from the pack.
The first new feature is that there are different play styles for the different characters players can use. According to Games Radar+ Pelland said “Jacob is an extremely charismatic, very confident personality. He’s a leader. On the other side, you have Evie who tends to be more cautious, she’s more on the strategic side, she has stealth-specific skills that are specific to her.” The producer also talked once again about how the development team used London and it’s interest real estate to its advantage.
In particular, the team used the Thames which could have been an obstacle as almost a kind of borough on its own. While he wouldn’t go into great detail, he said that the team understood that the Thames was a bustling business port. It seems likely that a number of different missions will focus around pulling off heists or just disrupting the businesses that run through that port. We’ll apparently get to know more about how this all works as we get closer to the game’s launch. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate hits on October 23, 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
