Since the announcement of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate earlier this year, we’ve heard a lot about a couple of different aspects to the game Ubisoft says will make it stand out from its predecessors in big way. Most recently, Game Director Scott Phillips sat down with Examiner.com and talked about some of the things that has the company so excited about the potential for this release. We’ve also known that this game allows you to play as either Jacob or Evie and there are different missions set up depending on which character they choose.
“You have missions that are specific for Jacob and missions that are specific for Evie. When we set out in the story, they each have their own tracks that they want to take and follow in order to bring down the Templars in the city,” Phillips said. He added that in order to switch from one character to another you’ll need to go through a menu and select the character. While the dual playable characters is new, so are the vehicles that are featured in Syndicate.
Carriages and trains are both playing a big part in the game. Carriages and trains, specifically are going to be an interesting addition. Phillips laid out that it won’t be that hard to find a carriage to borrow to get from one place to another quickly. He also said the ability to drive one will be gained as soon as you enter London. Another vehicle that will be at your disposal are the trains. These won’t be drivable but you will be able to catch them as they run on a schedule. The trains are also more than just a mode of transportation. There will be missions tied to the trains and you’ll also be able to pull off heists. In fact, the trains will be tied to missions but they’ll also be tied to the open world as much as possible. We’ll get to see all this when Assassin’s Creed Syndicate launches on October 23, 2015.
