Though it may not seem like it, given the lack of media hype and campaigns that usually mark the lead up to the release of a new Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is almost here- we are just a month away from its launch. Ubisoft, on their part, are (finally) trying to kickstart the marketing cycle for this game. And so here we are, with a brand new trailer.
Crawford Starrick, the head of the Templar order, and his seven henchmen, control the London of 1868 with an iron fist. The Fyre twins, Jacob and Evie, will have their work cut out for them as they try to break Starrick’s grasp over London, and try to continue the fight the Assassins have been fighting against the Templars for millennia.
It looks like a distinctly more low key premise for the game- perhaps the most low key one in the entire series outside of Black Flag. Whether or not this game manages to justify its inclusion in the increasingly irrelevant larger Assassin’s Creed timeline, remains to be seen.
