Assassin’s Creed: Unity’s Rift Mode Leaked, Ezio and Altair Playable

Race to beat other players' ghosts in this new mode.

Aside from the main campaign and co-op gameplay, Assassin’s Creed: Unity will also feature a new mode called Rift. Leaked today by a Reddit user taking part in closed testing, the mode is intriguing because it allows players to assume the role of past Assassins like Altair, Ezio, Edward Kenway and even Aveline from the much maligned Assassin’s Creed: Liberation. Check out gameplay footage of the mode above.

Rift mode essentially sees you racing through maps in an effort to collect glyphs. You’ll be competing for the best time and can even run against player ghosts to try and beat their times. It’s not exactly competitive multiplayer but it looks to be an interesting diversion from the main game.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity is out on October 28th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Previous gen users will have Assassin’s Creed: Rogue to look forward to in November for Xbox 360 and PS3.
