Thanks to Ubisoft Connect, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla features cross-progression across every single platform it’s available on. That, of course, means that it has cross-progression across its PS4 and PS5 versions as well, and while that’s a great feature to have, some players have taken issue with how one aspect of that system works- namely, the Trophies. Until now, if you’ve played Valhalla on the PS4 and then move on to continue your playthrough on the PS5, you don’t get all the Trophies you had already unlocked, with the Trophies for both versions being two distinct groups.
That, it seems, has been fixed with the game’s newest patch, which introduced quite few changes and improvements. As discovered by the folks over at TheSixthAxis, following the game’s recent update, if you boot it up on the PS5 now, it will automatically begin unlocking all the Trophies you’d already earned if you had played it first on PS4 (probably through the cloud).
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been suffering some frame rate issues on the PS5 since its new update went live. Read more on that through here.
Ubisoft’s massive open world RPG is available now on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Stadia. You can read our review of the game through here.
