Astro Bot Director on Potential PC Version – “We Want to Hear from You”

Team Asobi's Nicolas Doucet also reiterates that the platformer has a "zero percent" chance of being ported to PS VR2.

Sony has made it clear by now that its live service titles are going to see simultaneous PC releases going forward, but when it comes to the company’s single-player games, things are less clear. The time that it takes for a single-player PlayStation title to come to PC has generally varied wildly from game to game- so what exactly can we expect from the highly anticipated upcoming platformer Astro Bot as far as a PC release is concerned?

Creative director and Team Asobi studio head Nicolas Doucet was asked the question in a recent interview with MinnMax, to which his response was, as you would expect, not a concrete one- but one that certainly leaves the door open for the future.

“We want to hear from you. Absolutely, we want to hear from you,” he said when asked about PC audiences hoping to play Astro Bot on their platform of choice.

Elsewhere in the interview, Doucet also echoed past statements and stressed that there is “zero chance” of Astro Bot adding PS VR2 support down the line, because the game is “designed for a different medium” from the ground up.

Astro Bot launches on September 6 for PS5.
