Australian PS3 sales surge after price cut

We knew Sony would end up selling a bit more PS3’s after the price cut but according to the latest reports from Australia, it may have exceeded Sony’s expectations. Sony Computer Entertainment Australia announced that the surge in sales were phenomenal after the price cut.

It was actually 400 percent, according to them. Which is a lot.

“Australians love not only games, but also the quality home entertainment PS3 provides,” said Michael Ephraim, SCEA managing director. “Sales are booming because PlayStation 3 is the best device to connect to your TV, at incredible value, to provide the ultimate home entertainment experience.”

Thanks, VG247.
