Baldur’s Gate 3 Requires 122 GB Installation Space on PC at Launch

PC players also need a "good CPU" and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 to run the game at 1440p/60 FPS and an RTX 4080/4090 for native 4K.

Larian Studios has revealed some last-minute details about Baldur’s Gate 3 before its launch out of early access on August 3rd for PC. It discussed the Illithid Abilities and how they can impact your party, and in new Steam post, it confirmed that the full release would require approximately 122 GB of installation space.

As noted previously, early access saves aren’t compatible with the launch version, though Larian says, “So much has changed that it’s really worth it to start afresh.” It’s also confirmed to be Steam Deck verified and works with the most optimal graphics settings. Split-screen is disabled, but there is full controller support.

It’s worth noting that FSR 2.0 implementation is still being worked on, which will be ready closer to September 6th (when the PS5 version launches). As for running the game at higher settings, a “good CPU” and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 will provide 1440p/60 FPS. However, for native 4K, you need an RTX 4080/4090 or an AMD equivalent, though you can enable DLSS to reach 4K with lower requirements.
