Baten Kaitos 1 and 2 HD Remaster Artwork Allegedly Leaks Ahead of Nintendo Direct

Newly leaked artwork suggests Nintendo could be gearing up to announce remasters of the RPG duology at the upcoming Direct presentation.

Nintendo’s next Direct presentation is kicking off imminently, and all eyes are going to be on what the company chooses to show from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom– though of course, new announcements are going to be expected as well. Interestingly, it seems the beans have been spilled on one of those announcements.

A recent leak claimed that Bandai Namco and Monolith Soft were working on a remaster of Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Oceanbut as it turns out, they might be doing more than that. Key art for combined remaster of both Baten Kaitos games – including 2006’s Baten Kaitos Origins – has leaked online and been shared on Reddit, with the artwork referring to the release as Baten Kaitos 1 and 2 HD Remaster.

And that’s not all. On top of the leaked artwork, veteran artist Nakaba Higurashi – who was the lead character designer on both Baten Kaitos games – recently took to Twitter with a tweet comprised of a series of emojis, possibly hinting at an upcoming announcement.

We’ll know soon enough whether this leak is an accurate one, so stay tuned for more updates.
