It turns out the recent rumours have been proven true- a Nintendo Direct presentation has been announced and set for tomorrow, February 8. It will go live at 2 PM PST, and according to Nintendo, will feature “roughly 40 minutes of information” that will be “mostly” focused on games coming to the Nintendo Switch in the first half of 2023.

What exactly will that entail? We can only guess at this point, but there are certain games that many will be hoping to see. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which is due out in May, will likely be chief among them, while Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is another one that could finally get a firm release date (that doesn’t get pushed back this time). Recent updates to both games’ eShop pages have suggested that pre-orders for them could go live soon.

Last year, Nintendo also unveiled Pikmin 4 and confirmed that it would be out some time in 2023, so hopefully we’ll get a proper gameplay showing of the strategy title, along with a release date announcement. Meanwhile, Hollow Knight: Silksong, which is supposedly due out before June, also finally got an official eShop page last week, indicating that developer Team Cherry could finally be ready to confirm a release date.

Could we also see official announcements for long-rumoured remasters of the likes of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princessand Metroid Prime? That remains to be seen, but thankfully, we don’t have to wait too long to find out.
