Batman: Arkham Knight – Batmobile And Other Playable Characters Will Have A Talent Tree

New Batman: Arkham Knight video 'unmasks' the Arkham Knight, the Scarecrow, Batman and the Batmobile.

A new Arkham Insider video has hit YouTube and this video goes behind the scenes to give players more information on the main characters in Batman: Arkham Knight. The video features Albert Gomis, who is Rocksteady’s lead character artist for the game. Gomis talks in great detail about some of the background of a number of characters in the game, focusing on the big bad Arkham Knight, the Scarecrow and of course, our hero, Batman.

The artist talks about just how much detail went into designing these characters for the newest installment of the series, including giving the Arkham Knight a very militarized look while also sporting a few touches that were geared to actually poke at the Batman. There also appears to be a few features that are similar to something you’d see from the other comic book company as mentions of a heads up display inside the character’s mask as well as control of his forces through the HUD reminds some of Iron Man.

While the Arkham Knight is leading more of a full frontal assault on the city, he’s paired up with Scarecrow who is a villain that has to work from the shadows and win through fear. The Scarecrow is obviously wearing a suit that is designed to strike fear in his opponents but he’s also covered with his special fear gas in a way that will release the toxin when he gets hit or taken down.

When it comes to the Batman, he’s been given a little more of a militaristic look, in part because he’s having to take down an actual army in this game. Part of his more military look comes along with his batmobile. The artist also divulged that the batmobile will actually be able to have a kind of talent tree. This particular detail was unknown until now. Check out the video below to get all the info and then wait on the edge of your chairs. Batman: Arkham Knight is due out on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One on June 23.
