DICE have always wrought wonders when it comes to graphics and technology- they may be one of the most talented studios around on that front. So it should come as no surprise to just about anybody that the upcoming Battlefield 1 also looks absolutely stunning- it is amazing just how much performance DICE are able to extract from the current generation of consoles.
But as great as the game looks on the PS4 and Xbox One, it looks even better on PC- and indeed, to get a full idea of just what DICE have been able to engineer with the Frostbite engine, one needs to see the game performing on PC. This video that you can see below, for instance, shows the game running in widescreen in a 3440 x 1440 resolution, and it looks flabbergastingly good.
Of course, to run your copy of the game at these resolutions will probably require you to sell an arm and a leg to be able to afford the highest end PC build possible, but honestly, I’m starting to think that that may be worth it after all. Battlefield 1 launches this October on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
