Battlefield 1 Reveal Trailer Arrives, World War 1 Setting Confirmed

Journey to the start of modern combat.

DICE finally unveiled the first trailer for Battlefield 1, albeit all in-engine footage. Check it out below.

As indicated in the trailer, the game takes place in a World War 1 setting with biplanes engaged in air battles, units on horses and a variety of close quarters combat situations. Enemies with gas masks were also spotted and it was confirmed that gas would be a tactic utilized by enemies which players have to work around.

Other than that, Battlefield 1 will effectively cover the start of the era of modern warfare. It’s slated to release worldwide on October 21st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC with players who pre-order getting early access to the game on October 18th. Pre-orders will also receive the Hellfighter Pack with items incorporating the theme of the 369th Harlem Hellfighter Infantry Regiment.

Of course, EA Access subscribers will also have a chance to play the game first on Xbox One thanks to the early access trials the service allows. Thoughts on the trailer? Let us know in the comments.
