Battlefield 1 will have some paid post-launch content via its Premium Pass but there will also be some free maps like Giant’s Shadow. This will be releasing in December for everyone and DICE has provided some more information on the actual map on its website.
Set in the Battle of the Selle in 1918, Giant’s Shadow features the British moving through the Hindenburg line to a railway centre with infantry and tanks fighting along the Cateu-Wassigny railway. There will be open areas and river banks to battle across and due to the railway track, an armoured train will be included on the map.
Other post-launch content will include They Shall Not Pass, the first paid DLC releasing in March 2017 and the four packs will add 16 additional maps to the experience. These will be included in the $50 Premium Pass.
Battlefield 1 is out on October 21st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the upcoming content? Let us know in the comments.
