Battlerite Developers Mock EA’s ‘Pride and Accomplishment’ Quote In New Update To Game

"The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment..."

When faced with player pushback against the excessive grinding that would be require to unlock in game content in Star Wars Battlefront 2, unless players flat out paid for credits to do so with real world money, EA’s response was legendarily tone deaf. In what would go on to become the most downvoted post in Reddit history (with over half a million downvotes), EA said that the reason things take as long to unlock s they do is because “the intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment” for unlocking that content.

Obviously, it was bullshit, and everyone called them out on that. That everyone seems to include their fellow developers, too. Take Stunlock Studios’ Battlerite, which just unlocked a new pose in game for players, which can be unlocked with 20,000 in game credits. You can read its description below- you might find it familiar…

“The Dab of Pride and Accomplishment – New Legendary Pose available for Croak. Can be unlocked for 20,000 Tokens. The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking this item. This item can only be purchased with tokens and will not drop in chests.”

Well played, Stunlock. Well played. Battlerite is available now on PC exclusively, via Steam.
