PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta 3 was one of the earliest titles to be revealed for the Nintendo Switch, alongside Metroid Prime 4 and others. Both games have had pin-drop silence since the initial reveal, as both have been stuck in development hell for far too long. However, PlatinumGames has recently told VGC about a possible update on the game.
PlatinumGames has told VGC that they are also eagerly waiting to reveal the game to the public, but the final decision rests at the hands of Nintendo. Higher-ups within the studio have also added that there would probably still be a showcase before Christmas, so fans should keep an eye out for the game.
“As much as fans are waiting for it, we are waiting for the day when we can show it. We want everyone to cheer us on as we run to the final stretch. We want to show it too!”
Bayonetta 3 was originally revealed in December of 2017, and given PlatinumGames’ enthusiasm surrounding the project – more information might be dropping sooner rather than later. Nintendo Switch will also be receiving an OLED model later this year, and rumors are still doing the rounds regarding a souped-up model of the original sometime in the future.
