Bayonetta 3 Gameplay Showcases Puzzles, Platforming, and Killer Combat

Some Demon Masquerade gameplay is also showcased ahead of the game's release on October 28th, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

New gameplay footage dropped for PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta 3 yesterday, showcasing multiversal Umbra Witches and high stakes. Various previews have since emerged to provide more, but Game Informer’s video is noteworthy for showcasing some of the puzzles and a Combat Challenge. Check it out below.

The puzzle sees Bayonetta defeating an enemy and accessing spatial manipulation, rewinding time to provide a path to cross. Interestingly, she reverts to teenage Cereza in this field, which limits her powers (and seemingly only allows for platforming). The Combat Challenge, as you’d expect, involves defeating all enemies within the time limit.

Jeanne assists Bayonetta in this fight, though the heavy weapon she wields is pretty strong. Demon Masquerade also does some serious work, allowing the player to dash to enemies. Bayonetta 3 is out on October 28th for Nintendo Switch. For more gameplay showcasing the new character Viola in action, head here. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
