Bayonetta Remaster Also Listed On Microsoft Store With Vanquish Double Pack

The two action games both seem to be on board for a 4K makeover.

It feels like Bayonetta is basically a Nintendo franchise nowadays with the first game’s sequel and upcoming third game being exclusive to Nintendo platforms, not to mention her inclusion in Smash. But the property isn’t actually owned by Nintendo, and the first game wasn’t even originally released on a Nintendo platform. While the series managed to find new life with Nintendo, the first title seems like it will do so in other ways soon, alongside another PlatinumGames title.

As reported earlier, a page for a remaster of Vanquish, another action game from the developer, popped up on the Microsoft Store. Well, it seems similar page came up for a 4K remaster of Bayonetta as well as an anniversary double pack that included both games. As of writing this, the Bayonetta and double pack listings no longer seem available, though the solo one for Vanquish is still up (True Achievements managed to get the listings for both).

Both games came in the early years of PlatinumGames after the group split from Capcom. Bayonetta was a mild success and found a second life, of sorts, on Nintendo systems, while Vanquish was a reportedly a massive flop. Both of these are listed to come for Xbox One in February of next year, though most likely a PS4 version will also come (if this does indeed happen).
