Bethesda Confirms No Fallout 4 Announcement At The Game Awards

Noooooooooooooooo!

Several things:

  • Fallout 3 was released in 2007; the last Fallout game, New Vegas, was released in 2008. It has been over six years since we had a new entry in the franchise
  • People have been waiting for Fallout 4 rather rabidly for a while now, awaiting an announcement for years, and being disappointed when it fails to materialize
  • The Game Awards would be the perfect avenue for Bethesda to announce Fallout 4, given that that was where they announced Skyrim as well

With all of this in mind, it is my great displeasure to tell you that if you were holding out in hopes of a Fallout 4 announcement at The Game Awards this year, your hopes have been prematurely dashed, as Bethesda has confirmed that it will not be debuting the game there. As a matter of fact, Bethesda won’t be revealing anything there- they’ll just be there because Wolfenstein: The New Order has been nominated for a few awards. So if you were holding out not for Fallout 4, but Dishonored 2? Yeah…

Well, that just sucks, doesn’t it?
