Black Ops 2’s FOV is set to 80 for the PC

Treyarch wants you to stop bothering it about it.

Treyarch says the FOV- or Field of Vision- for the PC version of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be 80, max, and will not go up any further.

Treyarch’s PC community manager tweeted: “Don’t ask me to raise the FOV cap. Max is 80. Thankyouverymuch.” Sound a little agitated. Yeah, don’t bother him again.

A game’s field of vision dictates how much of your in-game surroundings will be displayed on the screen. Usually, games hav an FOV of 90, which is perfect, but an FOV of 80, though still not very bad, might leave some players nauseous or suffering from motion sickness.

Some recent games have had very little FOV, Guild Wars 2 being the biggest offender. Its FOV is set at 65, which is, as you might guess, not a very good thing. However, that will be fixed soon.

Stay tuned for more info.
