Bloodborne’s Cut Loran Cleric Boss Found Via Modding

Secrets still being uncovered from the beloved FromSoftware game.

Bloodborne came out to much acclaim when it released in 2015. A more quicker pace and action-oriented take on the Souls formula, it also had a creepy Victorian vibe that hid many horrors as the game progressed. It seems even 5 years later, the game is still hiding a few secrets with the discovery of a new boss.

Those who explored Bloodborne‘s optional Chalice Dungeons will be familiar with the hunched Loran Cleric enemy. It seems modders have dug around the game’s code via a jailbroken PS4 and found that not only was the enemy supposed to be in several main areas, there was also a boss variation of the fight, which you can see below via YouTube user Foxy Hooligans. The AI is clearly incomplete here, but it’s relatively well functioning.

Bloodborne is available now for PlayStation 4 and despite being a success, it doesn’t seem like there’s lot of eagerness to do a sequel. But you can never say never after all.
