Bloodstained Randomizer And Zangetsu Update Comes May 7 on PS4, Xbox One, And PC, Later For Switch

More content incoming for the gothic throwback.

These Kickstarter projects can be…a little hit or miss, with a few more Xs under the misses than hits. It seems a lot of these projects don’t quite live up to the hype, but one that did as good a job as any was Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. While it suffered some delays, and the Switch version needed more patching then expected, it’s been deemed a worthy spiritual successor to the Castlevania franchise, and now more content is coming.

The developer announced that later this week the Randomizer will finally be coming. This mode replaced the “Roguelite” mode that was once scheduled. It will use 8 different game parameters to mix and match various aspects of the game to keep your new playthroughs as fresh as possible.

The update will also allow you to play through the game as fan favorite Zangetsu as long as you have managed to get to get the game’s good ending. You will be able to use his entire moveset, using the power of his sword instead of shards.

The update for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will come to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 7th. Nintendo Switch users will have to wait a tad longer as the update will come either at the end of May or beginning of June.
