One of the new gameplay mechanics in Borderlands 4 comes in the form of Firmware, which are essentially set bonuses that add up based on the number of pieces in your possession, maxing out at three per set. These set bonuses are some of the best things you can tweak to round out your character build to perfection. Applicable to five pieces of gear in total, it is possible to run a three plus two combination of Firmware bonuses for maximum benefit.
