Between the biggest player numbers on Steam for the franchise and studio CEO Randy Pitchford’s rants, Borderlands 4 has kept Gearbox Entertainment busy. Thankfully, a new update will go live later today on PC to further address performance and stability.
A field of view slider is also in the testing phase for consoles, and though there’s no ETA, players can expect more information “very soon.” Gearbox continues to investigate performance (it recently acknowledged issues on PS5 and PS5 Pro) and has updates planned. In the meantime, players can claim the Break Free Pack for free.
It contains a Legendary Ripper Shield, four Vault Hunter skins (one for each character) and two ECHO-4 skins. You need a SHiFT account to claim the same – head here for more details.
Borderlands 4 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with a Switch 2 release due on October 3rd. It allegedly sold over two million copies in its first week. Check out our review, where we awarded the looter shooter an eight out of ten.
