We still don’t know what Call of Duty 2017 will be, apart from Sledgehammer’s teases a few weeks ago- but it does sound like Sledgehammer intend to make it a visually resplendent, gorgeous looking game, at any rate.
The job will apparently entail ‘creating stunning visuals effects for the FPS genre using proprietary real time particle systems,’ and ‘working with Level Designers and Team Leads to create FX for stunning environments and compelling moments,’ among other things. “This position will play a key role in the creative design, asset management, and technical implementation of visual effects and design. To earn this spot, you have experience delivering high-quality VFX art, fierce art skills in composition and modeling, an aptitude for critical thinking and analysis, boundless creativity, extensive knowledge of FPS gameplay/landscape, and a deep passion for playing videogames,” Sledgehammer Games say.
Call of Duty will probably be announced around May, the same as every year. It will probably launch in November for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
