Call of Duty 2019 Previewed at Private Event for American Football Players

Some athletes got an early taste of the annual shooter.

As 2019 ticks on, we get closer to a release for Activision’s titanic annual series, Call of Duty. This year’s title is being developed by Infinity Ward, the developers behind the original Modern Warfare trilogy of titles, Ghosts, and Infinite Warfare. We don’t have a lot of solid details on the game yet, just that it will have campaign and co-op experiences, and that it’s rumored to not have the battle royale mode from last year’s installment, Black Ops 4. Some people who do know a little more now, though, are some select football players.

Invited to a private event, several American college football players got a taste of the game. Some guests included University of Georgia’s Riley Ridley and Florida State’s Jacques Patrick. You can see some pictures and their reactions through social media below. Unfortunately for us, the event pictures were expertly shot to not show so much as a glance on what was on-screen. These guys seemed to enjoy it, though.

The next installment in the Call of Duty series is out some time this year. We should get our peek at wha is is relatively soon, as the series usually appears not too long before E3 in June.
