Call of Duty Infinite Warfare: Quickscoping Is Possible, But Difficult

You're going to have to work to quickscope in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is promising an epic single player story in a fresh setting, but for most players, the game will live or die by its multiplayer modes. Those multiplayer modes will be offering players a mix of new and the familiar. And as for the latter specifically, it seems that one of the familiar things that will be returning in Infinite Warfare will be quickscoping.

Quickscoping essentially involves using a sniper rifle and scoping in quickly right away, killing at various ranges and basically having the sniper rifle act as a shotgun more than anything else. It will be possible to do in Infinite Warfare– but it will be difficult.

Quickscoping is possible,” Infinity Ward Multiplayer Project Director Jordan Hirsch confirmed to PlayStation Lifestyle. “I wouldn’t say it’s easy! Most of the sniper rifles are balanced to be a difficult one-shot kill. So you have to get a headshot in order to get that one-shot kill, (especially) quickscope. So it is a possibility.”

It sounds like Infinity Ward are simultaneously trying to offer the skill, while keeping it balanced. Hopefully, that is something they can achieve, as quickscoping as it stands can definitely be game breaking. And that’s no fun for most players.
