For the better part of a decade, the Call of Duty series has dominated the gaming charts. Outside a Grand Theft Auto here and a Minecraft there, all the best-selling games from the last two console generations have been Call of Duty titles. If you think that’s about to change anytime soon, well, you’ll have to look at the absurd popularity of Call of Duty: Mobile.
The mobile version of COD was already a huge success, having passed 35 million downloads in just three days. But it hasn’t stopped at all since then. As per Sensor Tower, the game has already soared passed 100 million downloads in just over a week’s time. The game has outpaced other popular mobile versions of other big titles such as Fortnite and PUBG, which you can see below. Not to mention that fact that it’s also brought in the money, bringing in a staggering $17.7 million in spending, with the United States being the highest grossing country by far. People are as hungry for the shooter as ever, it seems.
Call of Duty: Mobile is available now on all compatible iOS and Android devices. The next major console release for the series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, is on October 25th.
