Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is reusing Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps for its multiplayer (albeit with shiny new coat of paint), but it’s implementing some much-requested features. Map voting and the classic mini-map are just a few. In a new video, the developer discussed Aftermarket Parts, similar to Operator Mods from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
These are full conversions for existing weapons, turning them into brand-new guns. For example, the Renetti handgun has a Full Auto Carbine Conversion into an SMG with a stock, under barrel and optics. The Pulemyot 762 light machine gun can be converted into a bullpup, shortening it and facilitating a more run-and-gun play style.
We still have to wait and see what other features Gunsmith offers, so stay tuned for more details. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Its multiplayer open beta kicks off this week, with pre-orders on PlayStation receiving early access on October 6th.
