Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Announced, Launches November 10th

Launch platforms haven't been announced, but Captains Price and MacTavish return, with the former teasing a major new threat.

Activision has officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, releasing on November 10th worldwide. It didn’t provide any other details, like the launch platforms, but there is a short teaser and some “ultimate threat” awaiting the player. Check it out below.

The teaser does indicate that Captain Price and Captain John “Soap” MacTavish will return. Price says that cutting the heads of snakes isn’t “new” and that you should never “bury your enemies alive.” Given how last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ended, it seems that players will go up against the reboot version of Vladimir Makarov.

Other than a single-player campaign, multiplayer is more or less a given. Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson reported that Zombies would also return as an “Outbreak 2.0” mode that could be standalone and free-to-play. A new battle royale map based on Las Almas from the second game is reportedly coming to Warzone 2.0 in early December. Stay tuned for more details and reveals in the coming weeks.
