Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Out in October, Captain Price Returning – Report

Images in the now-removed scheduled stream revealed more than they should.

The reveal for Infinity Ward’s next Call of Duty title, reportedly titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, will be taking place at 10 AM PST today. As we wait patiently for the first trailer, it’s probably interesting to note that the game is releasing in October. Also, Captain Price – a major character from previous games – will apparently be returning.

Don’t worry – you didn’t a miss a leak or three. The scheduled YouTube stream for the game was seemingly updated with footage and images from the actual game. The stream has been pulled but Reddit user nehpets1999 managed to capture a GIF that showcased these things while previewing. Though the exact date isn’t legible, the month of October is still easy to make out.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is apparently “soft reboot” of the series but the apparent inclusion of Captain Price makes us believe that it will tie into the previous trilogy somehow. Then again, maybe Price is just a pre-order bonus for multiplayer. Regardless of how much is revealed today, Infinity Ward will also be at the E3 Coliseum event to talk more about the game. So stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
