The multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will return today for all PS4 players. However, those who pre-ordered Infinity Ward’s shooter on Xbox One and PC will be trying it out for the first time. An open beta will also take place on September 21st and 23rd but what can PC players expect in terms of system requirements?
An official blog post has been released, detailing the minimum and recommended specs for the beta on PC. At least 45 GB of hard disk space is required with minimum settings including an Intel Core i5 2500k, Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 with 2GB VRAM and 8 GB of memory overall. The recommend requirements include an Intel Core i7 4770k, Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 with 4GB VRAM (or a GTX 1660 6GB) and 16 GB of RAM overall.
Not too shabby though we’ll actually have to play the beta to see how the optimisation is handled. This beta will include Ground War, multiplayer mode that supports up to 100 players, and cross-platform play (more details on how the latter here). Later this month, Infinity Ward will reveal more gameplay of the campaign so stay tuned. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out on October 25th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
