Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Receives Two Free Maps, Hardpoint Mode Today

Shoot House will be available in regular multiplayer, while Krovnik Farmland is for Ground War.

Infinity Ward has announced some new content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to go live today. Multiplayer will receive a new map, Shoot House, while Ground War also receives a new map in Krovnik Farmland. Also, the classic Hardpoint mode returns at last.

Hardpoint plays a lot like Headquarters mode. A specific point will spawn on the map and both teams have to rush to capture it. The first team to capture and remain in the point will receive points. Then the next point will spawn and you have to rush to capture that. The main difference from Headquarters is that respawning is always enabled, so if you die trying to defend the point, it’s not that big of a deal.

All of this content will be free for players on Xbox One, PS4 and PC today. It’s in line with Activision’s post-launch content approach for the game (though Spec Ops Survival is exclusive to PS4 for full year). You can read our review for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare here.
