Call Of Duty: Warzone Surpassed 6 Million Players In Just 24 Hours

It seems the new mode is a big success.

Well, the mad lads finally did it- they made a free to play Call of Duty battle royale game in Call of Duty: Warzone. The game launched yesterday after much rumors and teasing. And well, people were more than ready for this, it seems, if the massive player count is anything to go by.

Activision announced via the official Call of Duty Twitter that Warzone had a staggering player count of over 6 million players in the 24 hours since its launch. It being connected so directly to Modern Warfare no doubt was a big help, since the two share several things, and of course being a free-to-play Call of Duty is probably quite the dream for some. It’ll be interesting to see if it keeps those numbers up.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone are available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can get the latter without having the former, and you do not need PS Plus.
