Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: WW2 finally sees the series return to where it all began, namely World War 2, and Activision wants to capitalize on that sentiment among fans. A new live-action trailer which explores a real-life “squad” getting back together after settling into responsibilities and whatnot. We’d be scoffing but this mentality isn’t exactly new.
Call of Duty: WW2 packs a new cinematic campaign, multiplayer and Zombies mode into one package with a number of changes. Aside from an extensive story that covers various theaters of war in the campaign, multiplayer has a new social space called Headquarters which players can hang around in between matches.
There are new Divisions, each with their own loadouts and progression, but the emphasis is very much on the classic run-and-gun gameplay that Call of Duty is known for. Call of Duty: WW2 is out on November 3rd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
