Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: WW2 has received a new update for PS4 and Xbox One, which should also be live on PC as of this time of writing. Along with bug fixes and the like, it also re-balances several guns and weapon types.
For example, the MP-40 and Thompson SMGs have seen their fire rates increased. Meanwhile, the Combat Shotgun’s damage range has been increased while the LMG class has received a movement buff. If that weren’t enough, the MG-15 and Lewis LMGs have also received reduce recoil. The Machine Pistol’s damage has also been decreased.
If you’re still annoyed by the FG-42 rifle continuing to dominate, then don’t worry – it’s fire rate has been heavily reduced, which should make other weapons in the class competitive.
