Even though rumours emerged about Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: WWII coming to the Nintendo Switch, senior creative director Bret Robbins told GameSpot at E3 2017 that there are currently “no plans” for the same.
Though that could change down the line, the World War 2 FPS is currently slated for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. As with Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, it doesn’t appear that there will previous gen console versions either.
Interestingly, when asked about whether Call of Duty: WWII could come to the Switch, Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey stated that, “Not currently. That’s a conversation for the ATVI [Activision] business guys, tbh.”
So basically, Activision made the decision to not have a Nintendo Switch version. At least, not at the game’s launch which will be November 3rd. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates from E3 2017.
