Call of Duty: WWII Zombies is “Based on Real Events” – Sledgehammer

Will also feature "really authentic stuff".

If you thought that after all the ridiculousness of Zombies in both Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare that Call of Duty: WWII would follow the same route, then you’re wrong. Sort of.

According to Sledgehammer Games co-founder Glen Schofield in conversation with EDGE (via Reddit), the Zombies mode in Call of Duty: WWII would feature some “really authentic stuff.” It’s also “based on real events”.

While the experiments that the Third Reich reportedly did on creating zombies were real, there were no tangible results witnessed. Perhaps Call of Duty: WWII will have an alternative take on this? I mean, if Wonder Woman could exactly battle Ares to determine the fate of mankind during World War 2 then it’s possible that some intrepid heroes foil the Nazis’ zombie plans in a video game.

We’ll find out how it works in the coming months. Call of Duty: WWII releases for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 3rd.
