Capcom revitalising struggling Resident Evil

Capcom is hoping to boost sales from the Resident Evil name by releasing more games.

Nikkei online reports that the move comes as part of an initiative by all developers to reduce development time and increase software output.

Capcom will aim to increase their current output from 2 entries per year, to three or four resident evil games annually.

The company will also be outsourcing in North America to recruit the necessary numbers to develop the higher quantity of games.

This is not the first attempt by Capcom to stabilize falling sales, so look forward to many more games in the Resident Evil series.

Let’s just hope the Resident Evil name doesn’t run dry.
