Close to the Sun, A Story Driven Horror Game, Announced For Consoles and PC

It is due out for release some time next year.

Storm in a Teacup, best known for niche cult classic games like Lantern, N.E.R.O.: Nothing Ever Remains Obscure, and ENKI, have announced their next game. It’s called Close to the Sun, and it’s a story driven horror game that is due out on PC and unspecified ‘consoles’ next year.

The game will follow a young journalist named Rose, who is looking for her sister. She ends up in a complex designed by Nikola Tesla literally “for science”, which is where things start going terribly, terribly wrong. The actual footage of the game looks great, and the atmosphere is reminiscent of 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors, actually. You can check out the announcement trailer for the game for yourself below.

The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 4, which means we can definitely expect PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, and quite possibly, a Switch version too (though the latter seems hugely unlikely).
