Bandai Namco’s Code Vein may seem like an anime-esque version of Bloodborne. The premise, however, is intriguing and combat is fast-paced enough to offer a good time. However, the game can be difficult. Kaito Ishikawa, who voices the companion Louis (one of many who can join the hero), was challenged to defeat to the Queen’s Knight.
Upon dying 20 times, he’d start receiving escalating punishments as the deaths continued. However, Ishikawa manages to beat the boss in under 20 deaths. Check out the gameplay for yourself below and decide whether the challenge was tough enough.
Code Vein is set in the dystopic future where most of the world’s population has gone extinct. Vampire-like beings reign supreme but it’s a mostly empty existence, full of monsters to slay and tough environments to navigate. In development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Code Vein will release later this year.
