Code Vein is Bandai Namco’s anime styled Souls-like game, and it seems yet another feature it will be borrowing from From Software’s influential action RPG series will be the ability to call upon other players to help you through particularly difficult parts or dungeons.
The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu revealed some more details on how multiplayer will work in the upcoming game- and it seems that while players will be clearing dungeons with NPC partners, if they run into something particularly nasty or difficult, they can let off a distress signal, which will allow other players, who have completed specific conditions, to spawn in their game and help them clear the difficult part.
Which sounds great (and is hopefully less obtuse to make work than how From Software typically handles these things). Code Vein is due out later this year worldwide, for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
