F1 2016 received a new trailer recently. Codemasters outed the Silverstone Hot Lap trailer, showcasing gameplay on the popular Silverstone circuit. The new trailer showcases the racing sim’s brilliant eighth-gen visuals. While it isn’t exactly contending with the likes of Project CARS and Drive Club, a physically based renderer, slick reflections, and a warm early-morning time-of-day make the game a visual treat.
The new gameplay trailer comes hot on the heels of an earlier glimpse of the Baku circuit. This year’s F1 outing features an all-new career mode, which allows your racer to progress through a whole 10 seasons of action-packed races. This is an interesting contrast to GT Sport, another racer that’s going entirely in the opposite direction with an integrated multiplayer experience and a chance to earn a real-life racing license.
F1 2016 is slated to release on August 19th on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. That gives you plenty of time to hide from the world and pick away at No Man’s Sky for a good week or so. What’s your take?
