Prime Matter and Smilegate confirmed in a recent press release that Crossfire: Legion would be launched on May 24th for PC via Steam Early Access. Developed by Blackbird Interactive, the early access version of the real-time strategy title will feature Act 1 of the campaign, co-op and two multiplayer modes.
Two out of three factions will be playable – Black List and Global Risk – with each having their own units. They also have unique Commanders which possess unique abilities that can help turn the tide. Otherwise, the standard formula should be familiar to RTS fans – build your base, acquire various resources, strengthen your forces and then take down the enemy, presumably before they can do the same.
According to its Steam page, the current plan is to release Crossfire: Legion in full by Q4 2022. Multiplayer includes 3v3 and 1v1 modes on two maps. More units, Commanders and modes are planned during the early access period and even after launch so stay tuned for more details.
