Cult of the Lamb Adds Local Co-op on August 12th

Unholy Alliance allows for experiencing the entire campaign in co-op, while also adding new Relics, follower quests, Tarot Cards, and more.

Following the trademark Devolver Digital weirdness, the latest Devolver Direct kicked off with Massive Monster’s Cult of the Lamb. A new animated trailer revealed that a local co-op option is being added in a free new expansion, Unholy Alliance, on August 12th. Check it out below.

The update adds a new playable character, the Goat, as two players can experience the entire campaign together. Whether they’re fishing, raiding dungeons, selecting weapons and more, it’s all fair game. Co-op also adds new mechanics, like swapping weapons between the Lamb and the Goat.

When fighting back-to-back, both characters can deal more damage. Syncing attacks also result in critical hits. If you’re not keen on co-op, Unholy Alliance adds new Relics, Tarot Cards, follower quests and traits, buildings and much more. There will also be new abilities to further mix up the gameplay. Stay tuned for more details and updates in the coming weeks.
