Dark Souls PC Version Was Rushed And Problems Were Expected, Says Producer

"For Dark Souls 2, we don't even expect any additional downloadable content because we want to deliver a full game"

In a recent interview with Edge magazine, Dark Souls II producer Takeshi Miyazoe spoke to the fact that the company is well aware of the issues they had with the PC release of the first Dark Souls game, and assures us that the team has learned from them. Myazoe was quoted in the interview:

“For Dark Souls 2, we don’t even expect any additional downloadable content because we want to deliver a full game, the full experience, to fans who purchase the package from day one,” he said at the time. “We did do additional content for Dark Souls, but generally downloadable content for Dark Souls 2 is not really being considered. Buy the package and you’ll get the full experience, and you’ll have as much fun as anybody else. Spending a couple dollars on certain items does not help the experience. So no free-to-play yet!”

This sort of confidence in the game’s PC release is certainly heartening. Stay tuned to Gamingbolt as we continue to receive news about the PC version of Dark Souls II.
